Ray affilliated with the Garden City Police Department in February of 2000 as the Chief of Police.
He held that position until January of 2004, when he resigned to enter full-time ministry.
He currently works full-time as the Deputy Chief of Fire for Prairie Township Fire Department in Lee's Summit, MO.
Ray has a BA Degree in Theology, and is currently completing a Masters in Education.
Ray also holds certification as and Anti-terrorism Specialist through ATAB, and is certified in
Homeland Security through the American Institute of Forensic Examiners.
Ray is also certified as a Missouri Paramedic, Advanced Tactical Medic, and Critical Care Paramedic.
He is a certified Fire Investigator, Fire Officer, and Hazardous Materials Specialist, with specialties
in Clandestine Labs and Chemistry. He has served as the Chief Tactical Paramedic for the Cass County Sheriff's
SWAT Team for over nine years, and has previously served as Chief of Police in Freeman, MO, as well as a
detective for the Cass County Sheriff's Department. He holds several police instructor qualifications,
including Defensive tactics, Weapon retention, and LVNR. He is certified as a Counter Narcotics Commander,
and in Field Tactical Police Tactics. He is a dedicated martial Artist, with over 22 years experience in
various arts. Ray also serves as president of Samaritan Emergency Medical Search and Rescue,
a non-profit
Missionary Medical
and Security Team, and has conducted operations in Central America and the Caribbean in this capacity.
He is a 14-year veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a field medical corpsman attached
to the United States Marine Corps.
